Let’s talk Imposter Syndrome, and two important EOIs. Plus, our workshop schedule for the rest of the year is now live. We only have a limited number of public access workshops, so book early if you don’t want to miss out!

Don’t keep self-doubt to yourself

“Feeling guilty for having ‘convinced’ everyone is exhausting. It takes a lot of energy to convince ourselves that we’re rubbish, but that’s what many of us do.”

Imposter Syndrome. Even if you didn’t know the name, it’s likely you know the feeling. It’s widespread in our sector, as explored in this Spotlight article.

We want to talk about it more as a community, so we’re currently organising a free webinar in the coming months. Is there anything want us to know (or include)? Email your thoughts to artswellbeingcollective@artscentremelbourne.com.au

We will keep suggestions anonymous while tailoring the webinar content. In the meantime, keep the self-doubt at bay with this article:

Support

Did you dial 1800 959 500?

Also known as the Support Act Helpline, these ten digits connect any Australian arts worker to free counselling – but sometimes the fear of the unknown can get in the way.

That’s why Support Act are looking for arts workers (particularly creatives outside the music industry) to help promote this important service in a series of video interviews. If you have called this helpline before and are comfortable sharing your experience, they would love to hear from you.
