Watch Sue Brooks in conversation with leading intimacy coordinator, Ita O’Brien.

Under-rehearsed or unsafe intimate scenes do not serve the production or keep the participants safe. There are countless examples of poor practice leaving actors with lasting damage and often compromising the production.

This ‘In Conversation’ event is a unique opportunity to hear from Ita O’Brien, one of the world’s leading intimacy coordinators. Hear about Ita’s best practice approaches to intimacy, simulated sex scenes, and nudity, implementing the Intimacy On Set Guidelines.

Ita O’Brien works internationally as an intimacy coordinator and movement director in film, television, and theatre. She also teaches in some of Britain’s premier acting schools, hosts Intimacy on Set Workshops around the world, devises her own work, and publishes research. Her visit was made possible by Arts Centre Melbourne, the Equity Foundation, Film Victoria and Creative Victoria.
