The Arts Wellbeing Collective is proud to partner with the Equity Foundation, Film Victoria and Creative Victoria to present a series of workshops and seminars with one of the world’s leading intimacy coordinators, Ita O’Brien.
Expressions of Interest for this workshop have now closed. Successful applicants will be notified shortly.
Under-rehearsed or unsafe intimate scenes do not serve the production or keep the participants safe. There are countless examples of poor practice leaving actors with lasting damage and often compromising the production.
During this three-hour seminar, Ita will introduce participants to some best practice approaches to intimacy, simulated sex scenes, and nudity. It will also be an opportunity to discuss how intimacy affects each role on a production and how to work together to create a safe space.
The seminar includes group discussions, an introduction to Ita’s Intimacy on Set Guidelines and the role of an intimacy coordinator.
